The Gateway’s THIRD ANNUAL Yappy Hour: Dog Days of Summer is bigger and barker than ever!!
Bring your human and canine friends to our plaza and beer garden on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend for an adoption extravaganza featuring 35+ pet vendors, rescues and advocacy groups. There’ll be a pup parade, pageant, cool-pools, giant slow-mo cam, raffle, live music, food, spirits, face-painting, balloon animals, caricatures, and more! Oh, and it’s not just for the dogs – we’ll also have kitties, bunnies and even a potbelly pig! You just might find the next addition to your furry family. 😉

The afternoon’s events are as follows:
-2:00p.m.: Alaskan Brewing Co. Pup Parade (with a Husky Grand Marshal!); arrive just prior, at the front beer garden, to get in the queue and take part with your furry pal!
3:45p.m.: Wagtown FREE sWag toss followed by a special appearance by Canine Companions for Independence
-4:00p.m.: Pet Valu “Adopt Me” Pageant featuring adoptable dogs from attending rescues introduced by Emcee Bob Kendrick and judged by pup-lovers Anthony Rothman and Wagtown “Chief Petting Officer” Tom Everhartwith “surprise” Instagram CelebriDogs, courtesy of Wagtown and Ohio 4 Pups On Patios. (Note: Pet Valu reps will select one dog per participating rescue group)
-5:00p.m.: Save Ohio Pets Raffle Call
-6:00p.m.: Event close
*The front beer garden will feature LIVE MUSIC all afternoon/evening as part of the CD102.5 Local ‘n Live summer music series at the Gateway. Yep, you can stay later (if you wish) and enjoy and evening filled with local sounds!
